The Qur’an, prayer times and the qibla

Read at your own pace and pray on time. Prayer times and the qibla are calculated on your device, and the Qur’an, prayer-time and reading-plan screens never show an ad.

Where it works

Browser and Android app

The adhan, notifications, the home-screen widget, offline recitation and the compass needle need the Android app.

Reading the Qur’an

Read the Qur’an as a book, or let a plan divide it into daily portions: a month at one juz’ a day, three months at a third of a juz’ a day, or a year at a short passage a day. It remembers where you stopped; miss a day and nothing is lost, you carry on from there.

  • Colour-coded tajwīd mushaf pages
  • Translation with classical tafsir
  • Recitation you can stream, and download in the Android app
  • Reading plans with no streaks, no scores and no ads

Prayer times

Times for any city, calculated on your device, and they keep working offline. Pick a city from the list, or let the app use your location, which stays on your device.

The calculation method is chosen for your region, for example the Moonsighting Committee method in the UK. You can change it, along with the Asr convention, the high-latitude rule and a per-prayer adjustment in minutes.

Each day also shows the three times voluntary prayer is avoided: the sunrise, zawal and sunset windows.

Calculated times are astronomical estimates, and a few minutes’ difference between methods is normal. Your local masjid’s timetable, especially for jama’ah, should take precedence.
